October is SIDS Awareness Month

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) most often effects babies from 1 month to 1 year of age. The cause of death is undetermined. Through awareness and education, the SIDS rate has dropped 50% in the last 20 years.  Here is a great article that includes safe sleeping practices recommended by the American Pediatrics Association. Please share and pass along to parents, grandparents, caretakers and anyone who interacts with children. Let’s keep the downward trend going!
