Inspiration: Something to Smile About

October 9th, 2009 by Susan Kim

7 year old Cody McCasland’s positive attitude and his closetful of legs can make anyone smile. Yes legs! His lower legs had to be amputated at the age of 15 months due to a rare condition called Sacral Agenesis, yet that has not stopped him one bit.

Cody loves to run, swim, play soccer, golf, karate and ice hockey, in addition to contributing to the community as a boy scout. It’s terrific what modern science and technology have enabled this young boy to accomplish already.

However, the most amazing thing about this story isn’t the fact that he ran 60m in 20.03 seconds or that he continues to better his freestyle time.

It is that he always has a smile on his face and absolutely embraces life fully.

This is something we can all be reminded of.

Make Happiness Yours,
